Barwon Coast is responsible for the management of the crown land coastal reserves between Collendina to the east of Ocean Grove through to the western end of 13th Beach beyond Barwon Heads.

This 13km of coast is identified by various beach access track numbers and in general terms the area of management is between beach access points 7W and 42W.

Within that area Barwon Coast manages two major caravan parks - the Barwon Heads Caravan Park and the Riverview Family Caravan Park, Ocean Grove, which provide around 1,000 campsites. For about six weeks, in peak summer, the Riverside Camping Ground also operates to provide additional sites.

The surplus funds generated from the caravan parks provides funding for the management of the natural and developed coastal environs.

Barwon Coast is also the manager of the small local Port of Barwon Heads with responsibilities for navigation aids, moorings etc.
