Committee Members

Barwon Coast Committee of Management has eight volunteer members who are appointed by the Minister for Environment and Climate Change following a publicly advertised process calling for expressions of interest from the local community.

Mark Edmonds BA GAICD (Chair) has extensive business experience in marketing, property, and product / services sourcing through his 30 year retail career. Mark isa graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors ,Whilst living in Ocean Grove, Mark has been involved with a number of community groups
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Tim Goddard (Deputy Chair) works for the City of Greater Geelong, supervising works and activities on the Geelong Waterfront and has tertiary qualifications in both horticulture and social & environmental policy. Tim has spent most of life residing in Barwon Heads.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Danny Keating is a specialist Local Government Consultant with expertise in strategic financial planning, organisational reviews, policy development and good governance. Danny, a resident of Ocean Grove for 30 years, has been involved in a number of local community and sporting organisations.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Susan Tunnell-Jones lives in Barwon Heads and has 10 years work experience in various roles within the environmental sector and, has qualifications in both land management and social and environmental policy.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Mark Rodrigue, a Barwon Heads resident has both a personal and professional passion for the marine and coastal environments and currently works as a manager of marine protected areas within Parks Victoria. He is an active member of Friends of the Bluff and can often be found with his head underwater in the Barwon Bluff Marine Sanctuary
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
John Lesser has a professional background in law and education, and is a Magistrate. John has lived in Ocean Grove since 1980, has been a regular beach and river user ever since. He has been involved with several local community organisations
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Kate Wynn is a resident of Barwon Heads and has worked in the environment management field for over ten years, specialising in  marine and coastal areas. Kate is particularly interested in community involvement in the management of local environments and currently works for the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Additionally, officers from the City of Greater Geelong and the Department of Sustainability and Environment may attend the monthly Committee meetings.
 
The Committee generally meets on the third Tuesday of each month, except January, at the Barwon Coast office off Ewing Blyth Drive, Barwon Heads. These meetings are open to the public and intending attendees should contact the General Manager Bob Jordan Ph 5254 1371 prior to the meeting.
